Conference Vision

Dear colleagues and friends,

Medical practice is increasingly and overwhelmingly complex. Fantastic achievements of research and medical technology in many fields have led to challenges regarding ethical, economical and other questions. Medical doctors, dentists and students as well as allied health professionals are often stretched to their limits in their quest to help and guide their patients. The tear and wear shows. Increasingly, it seems to be difficult to retain personal “sanity” in a quickly changing world. Burnout is not a privilege of our patients only.

The ICMDA Europe – Eurasia Conference "resources [un]limited" is designed to address complex issues of personal and professional conduct. The title reflects our focus: unlimited God who created the universe and is ready to deal with us limited human beings. This loving mentor stretches us to leave our comfort zones and to have life to the full. This starts with our private lives, affects our workplaces in healthcare and transforms our families and societies.

The 5 preconference streams and the main conference are designed as a unit. All are invited and encouraged to stay for the whole week, including families (children’s program will be provided). We will experience fellowship with colleagues from countries so far hidden to many of us. Through the growing international network of ICMDA, we have been able to invite outstanding speakers. Their words will resuscitate heart, mind and imagination – helping us to regain resources for our workplaces, for our families and societies, and for ourselves.

Mark the dates in your diary
, spread the word and explore the conference website with all its details. May the Lord bless you until we see each other and many a friend and colleague at the conference. We shall try very hard to make these days a stimulating and relaxing time for all!

We hope and pray you can join us in Schladming to experience what the Lord has in store for us in demanding times like these.

Yours sincerely,

Dr. Herbert Bronnenmayer
Conference Chairman
